Job Description

Lighthouse Games is seeking a UX Designer to shape player experiences for their AAA game. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, apply user-centered design principles, and create intuitive and engaging interactions. Strong UX/UI portfolio, experience with UX design tools, and a passion for gaming are essential.

Description

Lighthouse Games is a new AAA studio in Leamington Spa. We are defined by our pedigree of talent, and serious ambition to build a new best-in-class game. As a UX Designer, you will play a key role in shaping the player's experience for our games. Working closely with cross-functional teams including design and UI Art, you will apply user-centered design principles to create intuitive and engaging experiences that keep the players immersed in our game worlds.

Key Duties Include

Collaborate with game designers, artists, and engineers to drive the UX vision of the project.
Develop solutions for each stage of design; exploration, research, and conceptualisation
Champion accessibility throughout the project and design vision
Bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex user flows and interactions while dealing with technical constraints.
Create wires, user flows and prototypes based on user feedback to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in UX design

Requirements

Portfolio showcasing a range of UX/UI design projects, including games or interactive experiences
Proven experience as a UX Designer or similar role
Experience in UX design tools like Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD
Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices
Experience with wireframing, prototyping, and user testing
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Passion for gaming and a deep understanding of player motivations
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and collaborative work environment

Desirable

Experience with motion graphics and animation for UI elements
Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator experience
Previous experience working on AAA titles or large-scale projects
