Tech Audio Designer to execute the technical Audio Vision, build pipelines, and implement Wwise systems for games. Strong understanding of audio production and Wwise is required.

As we move on to new projects, the studio that brought you Baldur’s Gate 3 & Divinity: Original Sin 2 is looking for a Tech Audio Designer in Quebec to join the team and help us in crafting the high calibre games our fans have come to expect.

Responsibilities 

- Execute the technical Audio Vision under the supervision of the Tech Audio Director.
- Execute and maintain the entire audio pipeline, from asset production through implementation, integration, and deployment.
- Communicate with stakeholders and feature groups to ensure smooth execution.
- Design and implement Wwise systems.
- Write and maintain scripts for the audio pipeline.
- Support and mentor junior Tech Audio Team members.

Requirements 

- Solid understanding of the Game Audio pipeline from asset creation to soundscape design.
- Knowledge of scripting systems to develop customized, scalable automated solutions.
- Build pipelines to support Sound Designers in delivering creative output.
- Expertise in Wwise.
- Exposure to or understanding of building Wwise plugins.
- Experience working in the games industry.
- Strong understanding of general audio production, including asset creation, mixing, and mastering.

Nice to haves: 

- Proficient in creating and supporting node-based systems
- Basic knowledge in programming

Responsabilités 

- Réaliser la vision technique de l’audio sous la supervision du directeur technique audio
- Réaliser et maintenir le processus complet de développement de l’audio, de la création de ressources jusqu’à l’implémentation, l’intégration et le déploiement
- Communiquer avec les parties prenantes et les équipes chargées des fonctionnalités pour garantir une réalisation sans heurts
- Concevoir et mettre en œuvre des systèmes Wwise
- Rédiger et maintenir des scripts pour le processus de développement de l’audio
- Aider et mentorer les membres débutants de l’équipe technique audio

Profil recherché

- Une solide compréhension des processus de développement de l’audio d’un jeu vidéo, de la création des ressources jusqu’à la conception de l’environnement sonore
- Une connaissance des systèmes de script afin de créer des solutions automatisées, sur mesure et évolutives
- Une expérience dans la création de processus pour aider les concepteurs sonores à élaborer des propositions créatives
- La maîtrise de Wwise
- Des connaissances ou de l’expérience dans la création de plugiciels Wwise
- Une expérience professionnelle dans l’industrie du jeu vidéo
- Des connaissances générales approfondies en matière de production audio (création, mixage et matriçage des ressources)

Compétences appréciées

- Une maîtrise de la création et de la maintenance de systèmes basés sur des nœuds
- Des connaissances de base en matière de programmation
