Job Description

CyberSource Corporation, a Visa Inc. company, needs a Software Engineer – Sr. Consultant (multiple openings) in Atlanta, GA to:

  • Responsible for the architecture, design, development, and implementation of software applications.
  • Evaluate and introduce technology tools and processes that enable Visa to develop products and solutions, to embrace business opportunities and/or improve operational efficiency.
  • Develop and implement unified control center and monitoring tools to measure, monitor, and report on platform, data availability, utilization, capacity trend, and overall health metrics.
  • Formulate methods to enable consistent data loading and optimize data operations.
  • Monitor health of platforms, generate performance reports, and monitor and provide continuous improvements.
  • Ensure on-time delivery of projects, production support plans, and knowledge transfer for long-term supportability of upgrades, enhancements, and deployments.
  • Understand usage patterns and workload requirements of new projects.
  • Develop code and mentor junior developers to ensure deliverables are on time, within budget, and with good code quality.
  • Position reports to the Visa Atlanta, Georgia office and may allow for partial telecommuting.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or closely related field, followed by 10 years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.

Experience must include:

  • Java, J2EE, JDBC, JMS, Spring, Hibernate, JMX, or MBeans;
  • XML, SQL, or PL/SQL;
  • HTML, AngularJS, CSS, or JavaScript;
  • Mac, Linux, Windows, or CentOS;
  • WebSphere, Apache, Tomcat, or SOA integrations;
  • Docker, Kubernetes, Vert.x, GitHub, Oracle Server, or Spring Boot;
  • Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC);
  • Object Oriented Programming;
  • Distributed Systems.

Additional Information

Worksite: Atlanta, GA

Travel Requirements: This position does not require travel. 

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $149,760.00 USD to $216,600.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
