Summary

This Software Engineer role focuses on supervising the Production 2020 Rollouts. Responsibilities include managing project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables; designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and enhancing software solutions; writing product/system development code; participating in design reviews; reviewing code for best practices; contributing to documentation; and triaging and resolving product/system issues. The ideal candidate will have experience in software development, data structures, algorithms, and back-end languages. Experience with accessible technologies and the ability to learn C++ or Angular are preferred.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 2 years software development experience
  • 2 years experience with data structures/algorithms
  • Back-end language experience
  • Code writing, review, and debugging
  • Project management and prioritisation
Good to have:
  • Master's/PhD in CS or related field
  • Experience with accessible technologies
  • Ability to learn C++ or Angular

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
  • Experience with back-end languages.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.

  • Ability to learn either C++ or Angular.

  • Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
  • Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
  • Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
