The Role - We are looking for a Software Engineer II who has built games. You will work with a team of product managers, game designers, artists and quality assurance folks. As an individual contributor you will report to the Technical Director of the project.

Responsibilities

  • You will drive planning and executing new game features.

  • You will work with designers and product managers to provide world class experiences to our players.

  • You will mentor junior engineers and help them develop their skills.

  • You will improve code for performance, focusing on reducing load times and improving frame rates.

  • You will participate in code reviews and retrospectives and improve our code bases and processes.

  • You will participate in technical discussions that help us plan our big tech-driven features and roadmap.

  • You will write good documentation and follow coding standards.

Qualifications

Technical skills

  • 6+ years of experience in the video games industry.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in C++.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in 3D Math used in games.

  • Experience working with player focussed cross functional teams.

  • Experience working with game engines like Unity, Unreal.

  • Knowledge of Android and iOS development.

Soft skills

  • Be open to diverse perspectives, debate your ideas and get behind the team's vision.

  • Be collaborative, authentic and committed to quality.

  • Be biased towards action and see things to completion.

  • Be observant and nudge our teams to iterate and improve.

This role is Hybrid and requires You to be in the office during the project’s anchor days.
