Job Description

This role involves performing platform-to-application mapping activities within ServiceNow ITOM, focusing on a minimum of 25 on-premise and cloud platforms. Responsibilities include gathering and analyzing platform/application details, developing scalable technical approaches using ServiceNow ITOM capabilities (patterns, scripting, business rules), troubleshooting issues, conducting UAT testing, and obtaining sign-offs. The position requires extensive experience developing custom solutions in ServiceNow, utilizing various protocols and technologies, and working with diverse applications and infrastructure components.

Must have:

Expert-level ServiceNow Service Mapping competency
8+ years' experience developing custom ServiceNow solutions
Successfully completed 100+ complex Service Maps
Extensive ServiceNow scripting and coding experience
Understanding of HTTP, SSH, JDBC, TCP, SNMP, SOAP, REST, API, ESB etc.
Knowledge of Web/Application Servers, Load Balancers, Databases, and Virtualization
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Project description

As part of our strategic partnership with one of the biggest financial institutions in the World, we are hiring various IT specialists, who will become part of their IT Service Center. The bank is an international organization dedicated to providing financing, advice, and research to developing nations to aid their economic advancement. The bank predominantly acts as an organization that attempts to fight poverty by offering developmental assistance to middle- and low-income countries. Our client is a provider of financial and technical assistance to individual countries around the globe. The bank considers itself a unique financial institution that sets up partnerships to reduce poverty and support economic development.

Responsibilities

1. Perform Platform-to-Application mapping activities. This includes:

Complete the mapping of at least 25 assigned platforms (On premise and Cloud),

Gather and analyze platform/application details required to develop end-to-end solution,

Develop and document a scalable technical approach regardless of underlying technologies (e.g. Java processes, JVM, etc.), that can be leveraged to all platforms that shares similar communication protocol,

Develop custom solutions using ServiceNow ITOM capabilities such as patterns, server and client-side scripting, business rules, etc.,

Troubleshoot and resolve issues or errors, including issues related to Discovery, MID Server, integrations, and other ITOM areas specific to Platform-to-Application mapping,

Perform thorough UAT testing,

Obtain signoffs for completed platform mappings.

Must have

The desired resource should possess expert level competency in ServiceNow Service Mapping. In addition to this, following should also be considered as part of the profile:

Minimum 8 years of extensive experience in developing custom solution using patterns and scripts in ServiceNow for Platform-to-Application dependencies.

Experience in ServiceNow Service Mapping should encompass a track record of successfully completing a minimum of 100 complex pattern-based Service Maps. This includes tasks such as debugging patterns and probes, troubleshooting logs for error resolution, creating new custom patterns for mapping essential services, and adapting existing patterns to align with organizational configurations.

Extensive experience building custom solution with scripting and coding in ServiceNow, building custom extension patterns, developing client and server scripts, and creating new business rules.

Understanding protocols and technologies such as HTTP, SSH, JDBC, TCP, SNMP, SOAP, REST, API, ESB, etc.

Knowledge of Web and Application Servers, Load Balancers, Databases, and Virtualization (WebSphere, MQ, IIS, Apache, VMware).

Ability to think out-of-the-box and bring creative approaches to tackle complex use cases.

High level of initiative with a proven ability to work independently.

Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.

Strong interpersonal skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a proven ability to interact professionally with a diverse group.
