We are looking for a Senior Staff Software Engineer to join our DevOps Engineering team located in North America, reporting to the director of DevOps Engineering. In this role, you will be a technical lead on the DevOps team to support ongoing projects and work with architects, stakeholders, and management to ensure projects are delivered on time. You will provide technical guidance to DevOps teams on projects and any large sustainments and aid in decision making. This role also entails guiding other DevOps and Platform engineers and reducing the work by improving automation.

You are the ideal candidate if you are strategic, efficient, and your passion involves mentoring junior team members and promoting best practices to maintain a large fleet of infrastructure.

What you’ll do:

  • Become the subject matter expert (SME) for DevOps and lead with best practices
  • Participate in DevOps Platform Engineering activities
  • Collaborate with architects on delivering projects such as fully automated CI/CD, building microservice platforms, launching developer tools, monitoring, and other security patterns to maximize productivity and reduce manual work
  • Support architects, DevOps team members, and managers with technical decision making
  • Become an expert with Golang development
  • Demonstrate proficiency in operating on all three clouds: AWS, Azure, and GCP
  • Guide DevOps/SRE teams on critical issues and reliability improvements
  • Debug production and non-production issues

What you’ll bring:

  • 15+ years of experience on DevOps and SRE disciplines
  • Expertise in Golang programming
  • Experience designing and managing multi-cloud environments on AWS, Azure, and GCP
  • Experience designing, deploying, and maintaining Kubernetes clusters in various cloud environments
  • Experience configuring and managing Kubernetes resources, including pods, services, deployments, and namespaces
  • Experience utilizing IaC tools such as Terraform to automate the provisioning and management of infrastructure components, including Kubernetes clusters
  • Background in developing automation using programming languages, Python and GoLang preferred
  • Experience implementing and advocating for security best practices for Kubernetes and containerized environments, including RBAC, network policies, and image scanning
  • Ability to optimize Kubernetes clusters for performance, scalability, and resource utilization
  • Ability to stay updated with the latest Kubernetes and DevOps trends, tools, and best practices

  • Develop expertise and contribute to the design of Infoblox internal platforms

You can expect our employment offers to take many factors into consideration, including but not limited to the location of the role, internal equity, applicable past experience, individual skill set, education, and professional certifications. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned is the base salary range for the role. The typical base salary range for this position is $171,700 -$261,580 plus corporate bonus.
