Job Description

Google is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Front End, to contribute to the development of next-generation technologies. Responsibilities include writing and testing code, participating in design reviews, reviewing code from peers, contributing to documentation, and resolving product issues. The ideal candidate will have experience with front-end frameworks, full-stack development, or API development, and a strong understanding of software design and architecture. The role involves managing project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables, requiring technical expertise and leadership qualities. The position is based in Warsaw, Poland, and offers the opportunity to work on projects critical to Google’s needs.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Experience with software development and data structures/algorithms
Experience with testing, maintaining, or launching software products
Experience with front-end frameworks
Software design and architecture experience

Good to have:

Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science
Experience developing accessible technologies
Technical leadership experience

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
Experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms.
Experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and software design and architecture.
Experience with front-end frameworks, full-stack development, or API development.

Preferred qualifications:

Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
Experience developing accessible technologies.
Experience in a technical leadership role.

Responsibilities

Write and test product or system development code.
Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
