We're looking for a talented Senior Node.js Engineer to join our remote team and help scale our backend infrastructure.

The Role

As a Senior Node.js Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of developing and maintaining our high-performance, scalable backend services. You'll work closely with our product and frontend teams to deliver seamless user experiences and implement new features.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable Node.js applications
Optimize application performance and responsiveness under high-load conditions
Implement robust security measures to protect user data and prevent fraud
Integrate with various third-party APIs and payment gateways
Contribute to the architecture and design of new features and systems
Participate in code reviews and ensure high code quality standards
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production environments

Requirements

5+ years of experience with Node.js and Express.js
Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript
Experience with Nest.js framework
Experience with asynchronous programming
Experience with microservices architecture and event-driven systems
Expertise in database technologies (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis)
Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
Knowledge of WebSocket protocols for real-time communication
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure)
Familiarity with game economies, virtual item trading, or e-commerce platforms is a plus
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a remote team environment

Nice-to-Have

Experience with gambling or gaming industry regulations
Knowledge of blockchain technologies and smart contracts
Familiarity with real-time bidding systems or auction platforms
Experience with high-frequency trading systems
Familiarity with Xstate for state management
PHP experience
