About The Role

Role: Senior Mining Engineer

In this role, you will:

• +12 years’ experience in a broad range of Mine Engineering
• Strategic and innovative approach to problem solving and ability to define critical value drivers (cost and revenue) in an operation.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation.
• Experience on mine planning tools is preferred.
• Thiess global best practice knowledge and experience
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral
• Reasonable understanding of the technologies currently implemented within Thiess.
• Understanding the key value drivers for current and new mining operations
• Knowledge of current and emerging mining technologies and concepts.
  
  
  

Unique Role Requirements

• Ability to analyse each mining operation as a system (regardless of complexity) and determine the critical value drivers and devise a strategy which maximises return from both a Thiess and a Client (where possible) perspective. Ability to apply this analysis across the business concurrently.
• Domestic and International travel may be required.
• Undertake visits to projects and engagement with project technical staff.
  
  
  

About You

• Formal Education - Tertiary qualified in a relevant technical discipline (BE-B.Tech in Mining Engineering)
