Job Title: Senior Manager, Mobile Performance Marketing | Irvine, CA

Location: Irvine, CA (Hybrid)

We’re looking for a Senior Manager to join our mobile user acquisition team in Irvine, CA, and help lead buying for global user acquisition and retargeting campaigns. You will be the expert on a set of channels, focused on campaign set-up/management, optimizations, and innovating the channel mix and UA tactics.

A typical day may include performance reviews, setting up new campaigns, optimizing against ROAS and other KPIs, discussions around creative needs, meetings with core ad partners, or reaching out to new partners to discuss capabilities.

The role also has a manager component, helping to grow and mentor UA buying specialists (1+) and occasionally leading an external agency. This is a critical role for the company with a lot of growth potential and the opportunity to directly shape mobile UA at Blizzard.

Key Responsibilities

Channel Development and Campaign Management:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive buying strategies on your core channels to improve campaign efficiency and innovate
  • Activate digital marketing campaigns across multiple channels, including Meta Ads, Google Ads, Apple Search Ads, Snap, TikTok, SDK networks, and programmatic networks
  • Monitor and optimize campaign performance on an ongoing basis to ensure maximum return on investment
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
    • Use analytics tools to monitor campaign performance and user engagement
    • Leverage data to make informed decisions and refine marketing approaches
    • Provide regular reports on campaign performance, insights, and takeaways to senior management and partners

Budget Management:

  • Partner with game UA strategist on media planning and budget forecasting
  • Accountable for responsible investment and budget management on your channels; take ownership of financial tracking, making sure the team is set up to ensure proper billing and payment

Leadership and Collaboration:

  • Lead and mentor user acquisition specialists. Champion a collaborative environment and support the professional development of team members
  • When applicable, help manage external agency buying support
  • Collaborate with key media vendors and build partnerships that deliver innovation and strong results
  • Work closely with the game’s UA strategist and other departments, including product management, brand marketing, product marketing, finance, and analytics, to ensure a cohesive approach to user growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in digital marketing, with a strong focus on user acquisition in the mobile gaming or related digital entertainment industry
  • Direct experience in platform directly setting up and optimizing campaigns across multiple channels
  • Hands-on experience with mobile measurement partners like AppsFlyer and working inside ad platforms like Meta Ads, Tiktok, and Google Ads
  • Experience with both new player acquisition and re-engagement campaigns
  • Track record of optimally running and scaling user acquisition campaigns with positive results
  • Deep understanding of digital marketing channels, analytics, and user behavior
  • Understanding in SKAN 4.0 measurement frameworks and guidelines
  • Strong analytical skills and able to translate data into actionable insights

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $105,120.00 - $194,400.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location.
