Job Description

This role is for a Senior Data Analyst/Data QA at one of the biggest food corporations. Responsibilities include validating data sources, applying transformation logic, and ensuring persistence/validations in target systems. The candidate will work closely with product managers and developers, developing and executing comprehensive data-centric test plans. They will build and maintain automation frameworks for data platforms, document test cases, and collaborate with stakeholders. Creating accurate test data, analyzing server logs and databases, and writing queries for data comparison are key aspects. Experience designing and developing test automation frameworks and using mocking/stubbing techniques is essential.

Must have:

5+ years in Quality Engineering with Data Platform Testing experience
Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes
Hands-on Azure experience (Storage, Data Bricks, Data Factory, SQL DBs)
Solid SQL, NoSQL, and pub-sub knowledge

Good to have:

Python coding/scripting for test frameworks
Java experience
Proficiency in automation tools and scripting languages

Project description

The project is for one of the biggest food corporations.

Responsibilities

As a Data QE

you will be responsible for validating data sources; application of transformation logic and persistence/validations in the target systems.

Work closely with product managers and developers to understand product requirement and design.

Develop and execute a comprehensive data-centric test plan aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.

Develop a comprehensive automation framework for data platforms covering spectrum of applications onboarded.

Document detailed functional and integration test cases. Coordinate with the developer; product manager and other business stakeholders on test plan; test case review; identify missing and complex test case scenarios.

Create accurate test-data envisioning the operation of the platform and the applications in place

Collaborate with engineers from across the spectrum to ensure test coverage and automation end-to-end.

Analyse server logs; DB and provide other relevant details with a bug.

Writing queries to extract data for Testcase data comparison

Design and Develop test automation framework; Improvise the existing framework to accommodate updates.

Develop mock/stub to test the functionality of a component in isolation.

Skills

Must have

5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering with experience in Data Platform Testing.

Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies; tools; and processes.

Hands-on experience with cloud ecosystem

Azure and it's services like

Azure storage; Data Bricks; Azure Data Factory; Azure SQL Databases and other SQL-based services.

Solid Knowledge of SQL; NoSQL; and pub-sub technologies.

Nice to have

Hands-on coding experience in Python coding/scripting and creating test frameworks using Python. Additional experience in Java.

Proficiency in automation tools; scripting languages; and workflow automation platforms.
