Job Description
N-iX seeks a Senior Back-End Engineer to build new APIs and web applications, migrate legacy services to new technologies, and manage user profile data. The role requires strong Java/Spring Boot skills, experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL), and hyperscalers (AWS or Azure). Collaboration with UX designers and ownership of projects are key responsibilities. The position involves designing fast, scalable, and responsive APIs, working in cross-functional teams, and exhibiting strong analytical and problem-solving skills. The successful candidate will significantly contribute to enhancing the user experience of a large-scale online platform.
Must have:
- 5+ years Java/Spring Boot experience
- OOP expertise
- API design (fast, scalable, responsive)
- AWS/Azure experience
- Relational database design (PostgreSQL)
- Upper-Intermediate English

- C# and Scala

N-iX is looking for a Senior Back-End Engineer to join the team.
About the client:
Our customer is the European online car market with over 30 million monthly users, with a market presence in 18 countries. As a Senior Fullstack Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of online car markets and enhancing the user experience for millions of car buyers and sellers.
Responsibilities:
- Building new APIs and web applications
- Migrating legacy services to new technologies
- Running user profile services to store and manage user data
- Be able to communicate with UX Designer to challenge hard-to-implement design elements and agree with them on lower-effort alternative
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience with Java/Spring Boot
- Object Oriented Programming (OOP) experience
- Designing fast, scalable, and responsive APIs
- Experience with hyperscalers - AWS or Azure
- Experience designing complex relational databases
- Experience with SQL Databases (PostgresSQL)
- At least an Upper- Intermediate level of English
- Experience working in cross-functional teams
- Ready to take ownership
- In-depth analytics and problem-solving skills
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Domain Driver Design (DDD)
- Experience with Event Driven Design
- Basic understanding of C# and Scala
- Javascript or Typescript knowledge
- Experience implementing complex queries
- Experience with query analytics and designing fast queries
- Experience with Datalake, creating pipelines
