Product Counsel

As Technology Counsel, you will be the primary legal partner for Bazaarvoice's product and engineering teams globally. You will provide strategic legal advice on all technology-related matters, including software development, contracts, cloud computing, intellectual property, data privacy, and open-source licensing. You will also draft, review, and negotiate a variety of technology-related agreements, ensuring they align with company policies and objectives. You will advise on the protection and enforcement of the company's intellectual property rights, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. You will ensure compliance with data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and cybersecurity regulations, working closely with the IT, Security, Privacy, and compliance teams to mitigate risks. You will stay current with relevant technology laws and regulations, providing guidance to ensure the company's operations and products comply with applicable legal standards. You will identify potential legal risks related to technology projects and initiatives, and develop strategies to mitigate these risks effectively. You will work closely with various departments, including IT, security, product development, engineering, sales, and business development, to provide legal support on technology-driven projects. You will assist in the development, implementation, and updating of company policies related to technology, data privacy, artificial intelligence, open-source licensing, and intellectual property. You will provide training to employees on relevant legal topics, including technology contracts, intellectual property protection, and data privacy.
