Middle 2D Environment Artist

Our Game and VR Studio is part of N-iX, a trusted Ukraine-based software development company. We specialize in full-cycle game development with Unity and Unreal Engine and offer art production as a service.
We seek a talented 2D Environment Artist to join our team and create outstanding locations, environments, and illustrations for visual novels like Outer Banks or Sweet Magnolias.

Responsibilities:

• Produce backgrounds, illustrations, and assets for visual novel games
• Precise work in a given style
• Work closely with the art team under the defined art direction 
• Produce work with minimal supervision, in an efficient and timely manner to maintain production schedules

Requirements:

• 2-3+ years of industry experience
• Excellent understanding of Photoshop
• Ability to create highly polished game assets and marketing materials
• Strong knowledge of color theory, composition, perspective, and lighting
• Excellent communication skills, ability to interact with team members of different disciplines
• Ability to take direction and accept critical review of your work
• Excellent portfolio with illustrations and concept art
• Basic knowledge of Blender

Good to have:

• Deep knowledge of 3D graphics software
• Passion for visual novels and semi-realistic style
