Job Description

Tesla's Learning & Development team seeks a Trainer to conduct workshops and trainings for production staff, supervisors, and management at their Gigafactory in Berlin-Brandenburg. Responsibilities include providing ongoing coaching to shopfloor leadership, integrating training content into learner journeys, identifying training gaps, analyzing shopfloor performance, evaluating training effectiveness, and designing engaging training materials. Collaboration with various departments is essential to improve team performance. The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment, and strong training and development skills in adult learning principles. Proficiency in German and English is mandatory.

As part of the Learning & Development Team you will contribute to our Department Mission to support the growth of our People and build a high performing Team for Tesla. Your primary responsibility in the Trainer role is providing knowledge, trainings, workshops and support our Operations and Shopfloor Support teams in their learning journey and daily performance.


As part of the bigger Tesla Team, you will collaborate mainly with, but not limited to, Operations, Maintenance, Logistics, Engineering, and your Training Colleagues to bring the Tesla Team to the next performance level.

What You’ll Do


  • Conduct workshops and trainings aligned with best practices for production staff, supervisors, and management
  • Provide ongoing coaching to shopfloor leadership, building their leadership capabilities
  • Integrate training content into learner journeys and support new hire onboarding programmes
  • Identify training gaps through needs assessments and develop targeted solutions
  • Analyse shopfloor performance to align training with business needs
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements
  • Design interactive and engaging training materials, including presentations, learning games, and manuals
What You’ll Bring


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field such as engineering, operations management, or industrial technology
  • Minimum of 1 year’s experience in a manufacturing or operations environment, focusing on continuous improvement and lean principles
  • Proven experience in training and development with a strong understanding of adult learning principles
  • German AND English communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse groups, including production staff, supervisors, and management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in data analysis and interpretation
  • Familiarity with training evaluation methods and metrics
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word


Nice to Have


  • Certification in a relevant field, such as Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt)
  • Experience with training management systems such as LMS or TMS
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards such as ISO 9001 or IATF 16949
  • Experience with digital training tools and platforms, including e-learning authoring software or virtual classroom platforms
