Disney Entertainment and ESPN Technology (DEET) team is responsible for delivering strategically and operationally important projects from inception to project close.

The Lead Technical Project Manager will deliver a number of related projects through a full lifecycle with multiple and varied project stakeholders in different teams regionally and globally. It is a key role in the APAC DEET team, contributing to the DEET Initiatives by ensuring the successful outcome of projects, on time and on budget. The role reports to the Director of Product & Technology, APAC.

This is a 9 months contract role based in Singapore.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the full Project Management life cycle of complex and diverse multi-regional projects
  • Work with the businesses to identify, document and deliver projects, providing clear and concise project status updates to business sponsors and stakeholders
  • Build the business requirements definition for projects ensuring that all relevant stakeholders are engaged and requirements are defined to meet the agreed minimum standard.
  • Manage the definition of project scope, budget, timelines and acceptance criteria, and ensure relevant sign-off
  • Manage project resources, the majority of which will not report directly to you, but will be based in other parts of the business regionally or globally
  • Create and execute Project Plans using effective tools to avoid deviation from agreed timelines
  • Develop, validate and manage all relevant project support processes and documentation throughout the life of projects (e.g. business cases, plans, status reports, etc.)
  • Build and own strong stakeholder relationships (internally and externally)
  • Actively identify and facilitate resolution when required for any project risks, issues and dependencies within projects
  • Develop technical and operational solutions in collaboration with the appropriate SMEs
  • Ensure a smooth and well-planned transition to the relevant areas of the business when the projects are complete and conduct the Post Project Review where relevant

Requirements:

  • Experience of successfully delivering multi-national, multi-platform technical projects
  • Exposure to Streaming platform and Application interfaces, Broadcast systems, Media Management/ Digital Asset Management, Rights Management and relevant Workflows
  • A track record of finding solutions to complex media workflows, across a range of technologies and platforms.
  • Strong consultancy skills and experience of working at all levels of an organisation
  • Proven ability to translate business requirements to problem definitions, models, and constraints
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of G-Suite (sheets, docs), Confluence, Office365, Word, Powerpoint, Excel, SharePoint, Visio and Trello
  • Project Management qualification (e.g. Prince2, PMI or equivalent)
  • Demonstrate an organised and procedural approach to their workload and tasks
  • Energetic, positive, driven, analytical, detail-oriented and independent individual
  • Active collaborator and listener with good oral and written one-on-one and group communication skills
