Feed your creativity while collaborating with our team of highly skilled developers to build something innovative, exhilarating, and expansively entertaining.

As a member of the Art department, you’ll be responsible for delivering realistic, high-quality game environments both as an individual and as a leader of a team of Environment Artists, ensuring artistic consistency and exploring new techniques to improve visual quality and efficiency.

As a member of the project, you’ll help take the studio and our game from great to even better—with a focus on inclusivity, mutual respect (for ourselves and our players), thoughtfulness, empathy, professionalism, and collaboration.

You’ll help us by…

  • Handling day-to-day tasks such as setting timelines and scheduling tasks together with Production

  • Performing annual goal setting and performance reviews for your team, mentoring new talent and encouraging a creative atmosphere

  • Assisting with recruitment, interviews and selection of staff for future Environment Art team hires

  • Implementing and maintaining project Art Direction in the work you present together with your team, ensuring consistency in art style and quality

  • Championing art asset standards such as high-quality authoring methods, performance requirements and standard methodologies through recurring art reviews

  • Being an ambassador for the Environment Art and supporting the department needs, while guiding the team to succeed and push quality to the next level.

  • Advocating healthy communication & coordination between art teams and across fields in a hybrid workplace environment that spans across multiple locations and time zones

  • Being a proactive, self-starter that can independently make progress and implement high-level direction

  • Researching, documenting and sharing relevant techniques, guides or inspiration material for other artists to learn from. Help resolve technical challenges across our tools and engine pipeline to unblock and accelerate production. Collaborate with Tech Art and help develop new tools to address unique project challenges

You’re awesome because you have…

  • Proven experience (8+ years) in the games industry working in an art capacity

  • Strong understanding of creating Environment Art assets in multiple major 3D and 2D packages (3DS Max, Maya or Blender, Zbrush, and Photoshop, Substance suite or equivalent) for console hardware (Xbox, PS, PC)

  • An inspiring portfolio that shows your expert eye for composition and storytelling through world-building, set dressing, and consistently high-quality art assets

  • Clarity in communication and demonstrates a problem-solving attitude

  • A proven track record to thrive in an ambitious environment and guide your team through open-ended problems

  • Creative and original ideas towards all aspects of game production and development that you share with the team

  • Excellent understanding of Physically Based Rendering systems and techniques

  • Overall strong understanding and passion for game art with the ability to discuss modern trends, identify future improvements to quality, workflows, tools and/or pipelines

  • Collaborate with the Design team to build map layouts and establish standardized metrics, ensuring an optimal balance between aesthetics and functionality that delivers outstanding gameplay.

Bonus points for…

  • Experience working with Photogrammetry-based asset workflows

  • Understanding of physically based lighting concepts and a proven skillset of showcasing your work in a professional, presentable manner

  • Enjoying of a wide variety of video game genres and titles
