Job Description

Your Mission:

Are you ready to lead engineering projects with impact? We’re looking for a proactive Project Engineering Manager to join our team. This role is all about ensuring seamless project delivery, from concept to completion, while upholding the highest standards in safety and quality.

  • Shape Project Success: Define functional requirements and manage stakeholder needs. 🤝
  • Lead Contractor Activities: Oversee contractor engineering and ensure designs align with our standards. 📐
  • Drive Safety & Quality: Review risk assessments, approve work instructions, and uphold site safety and environmental standards. 🛡️
  • Oversee Construction & Commissioning: Provide technical supervision, ensuring compliance with design intent. 🏗️
  • Engage Stakeholders: Collaborate and communicate throughout the project lifecycle for seamless delivery. 📣
  • Support & Train: Share your expertise, help develop skills, and continuously improve project processes. 📚

Qualifications

What would we be looking for?

Experience & Qualifications for Lead Civil Engineer🌟

Essential Experience:

  • Design Assurance: Skilled in ensuring quality and compliance for complex projects. 🔍
  • Civil Engineering Expertise: Background in civil engineering for large-scale, intricate projects. 🏗️
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Proficient in collaborating across the engineering lifecycle to drive success. 🤝

Desirable Experience:

  • Defence Sector Knowledge: Familiarity with projects in the defence industry. 🛡️
  • Civil Sector Experience: Understanding of civil sector requirements and practices. 🏛️
  • Design Delivery in Defence: Experience in managing and delivering designs specifically within defence projects. 🚀
  • Lifecycle Management: Knowledge of full engineering lifecycle management for efficient project execution. 📈

Essential Qualifications:

  • Marine/Mechanical Engineering: Qualifications and experience relevant to marine or mechanical engineering. ⚙️
  • STEM Degree: Accredited degree in a STEM discipline (or equivalent experience and qualifications). 🎓

Desirable Qualification:

  • Chartered Engineer Status: Advantageous for enhancing leadership and credibility. 🏅

 

Additional Information

Limited travel to site may be required, for example for Facility Walkdowns, however, the role would typically be expected to be conducted in a hybrid arrangement from Glasgow City Centre (3 days office, 2 days WfH).

Sole UK nationals only.  SC Clearance required to commence the role
