Job Description

Larian Studios seeks a Junior Engine Programmer to contribute to their upcoming projects. Responsibilities include designing, developing, and supporting engine technology, collaborating with other programmers and departments, writing robust and maintainable code, working under mentorship on specific features, writing unit tests, and actively participating in game design and production. The ideal candidate will have experience using C++ in game development or real-time applications, strong communication skills, a team-oriented approach, and excellent problem-solving abilities. The position is on-site in Kuala Lumpur and offers the opportunity to contribute to the creation of amazing RPGs.

Must have:

C++ game development experience
Good communication skills
Team player, problem-solver
Work on all aspects of the engine
Write robust and maintainable code

As we move on to new projects, the studio that brought you Baldur’s Gate 3 & Divinity: Original Sin 2 is looking for a Junior Engine Programmer to join the team and help us in crafting the high calibre games our fans have come to expect.

Responsibilities:

Work on all aspects of the engine: designing, developing and supporting our technology
Work in tandem with Larian’s other programmers, to achieve team goals
Work closely together with the other departments to implement game components
Write robust and maintainable code
Work under supervision of a mentor, on specific technology features
Write and maintain unit tests
Be an active participant in the design and production of the game; as the technical side of the creative team!

Requirements:

Used C++ to develop game projects, or similar real-time applications
Open minded, willing to experiment and iterate over a specific feature
Good communication skills in English
You are a team player and willing to take responsibility
Problem-solving skills
