As a Vehicle Technical Artist at CIG, you'll be part of a team creating high-fidelity vehicle assets for Star Citizen and Squadron 42.  Responsibilities include hands-on implementation, performance optimization, rigging, skinning, asset markup, and supporting the vehicle content team. You will work closely with art and programming teams, develop and improve pipelines using tools like 3DS Max, MaxScript, and Python, and investigate new techniques. The role involves bringing ships to life through animation and physics tuning, and ensuring assets are technically sound for use in the games.  CIG has a reputation for creating complex, characterful vehicles that are more like mini-game levels, and you'll be contributing to their already impressive library of nearly one hundred ships.

You'll join a talented production team, contributing creatively while adapting to Playdead's distinct visual identity.  Responsibilities include web design, game assets (logotypes, icons, GUI), social media graphics, video editing (trailers, commercials), and collaborating on Playdead's visual identity and design templates.  Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is essential; knowledge of Flash/HTML/CSS is a plus.  The role demands strong conceptualization skills, understanding of graphic fundamentals, and the ability to translate abstract ideas into compelling visuals.

The tasks you might work on

<ul><li>Graphic design covering everything from web design, assets, social media and storefronts</li><li>Creating and editing video for trailers, commercials, b-roll etc.</li><li>Working closely with another Designer to conceptualise and design the visual identity of Playdead as well as building templates for general use</li><li>Collaborating across Playdead on other design related tasks</li><li>Creating design assets for game content; logotypes for imagined companies, icons and markings for equipment/vehicles, screen graphics, GUI, packaging, etc… </li></ul>

What we would like to see

Who we are
Playdead is an independent game developer based in Copenhagen, Denmark. We are the creators and publishers of LIMBO and INSIDE. Our current project is a 3rd person, open world, science fiction adventure built for multiple platforms on Unreal Engine, published by Epic Games Publishing.
We are a team of more than 70 creative professionals. 
We experiment and collaborate with a focus on creating new experiences, and as such we are looking for people who can help us achieve them.
