IT Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior IT Project Manager to spearhead IT operations for esports events

in Riyadh. As a key member of our team, you will lead IT-related efforts for the localization of global productions in the

Saudi Arabian market, ensure seamless event execution, and represent our Event IT department in the region. This is a

unique opportunity to work at the intersection of technology, gaming, and live events, contributing to the growth of

esports in Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities

1. Drive IT Efforts for Localized and Global Esports Events:

• Coordinate IT infrastructure, software, and hardware deployment to meet event timelines and requirements, tailoring solutions to the needs of the Saudi Arabian audience.
• Play a pivotal role in the Esports World Cup (EWC)—a unique, one-of-a-kind flagship event—by leading IT-related areas in collaboration with Operations and Production teams to ensure exceptional technical delivery.
• Support other high-profile events, such as FIFA, by overseeing IT infrastructure, software, and hardware deployment to meet event timelines and regional audience needs.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure the technical aspects of these global events are flawlessly localized for the Saudi Arabian market.
• Contribute to the success of other global high-caliber events by supporting the broader global team, guiding project and administrative tasks to ensure alignment, efficiency, and excellence in execution.

2. Manage Local Teams:

• Supervise and coordinate with local direct reports and freelancers, ensuring clear communication, alignment with project goals, and adherence to high performance standards.

3. Stakeholder and Government Relations:

• Represent the Event IT team in discussions with local authorities, vendors, and partners, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration.
• Ensure all IT operations comply with Saudi regulations regarding cybersecurity, infrastructure, and data management.

4. Vendor Relations:

• Build and nurture relationships with local suppliers, ISPs, and technical vendors.
• Negotiate contracts, manage procurement, and oversee the delivery of services and equipment for seamless IT operations.

5. Reporting and Documentation:

• Maintain detailed records of IT project progress, setups, vendor communications, and lessons learned.
• Deliver comprehensive post-event reports to evaluate outcomes and identify areas for improvement.

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in IT project management, preferably within esports, live events, or entertainment industries
• Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, hardware, and software in event environments.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with Saudi IT regulations, including cybersecurity and infrastructure standards.
• Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with proven experience liaising with internal teams, vendors, and government entities.
• Tools Proficiency: Mandatory expertise in project management tools such as monday.com , Jira, or equivalents.
• Advanced proficiency in Slack and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.).
• Language: Fluency in English and Arabic
• Adaptability: Ability to thrive under pressure, juggle multiple priorities, and support events during irregular hours.
