The Industry Manager, Tech, Media and Telco at Google works with businesses to develop and implement digital advertising strategies. This role requires building and managing relationships with C-level clients, understanding their business challenges, and developing long-term strategies using Google's advertising products. Key responsibilities include achieving growth goals, presenting Google's advertising solutions, and providing data-driven analyses and recommendations. The ideal candidate possesses strong relationship-building, communication, and analytical skills, with significant experience in advertising or media sales and a deep understanding of video products. Must have:
  • 8 years of advertising/media sales experience (or 6 with advanced degree)
  • Executive-level client/agency relationship management
  • Video product performance focus
  • Develop and present client strategies
  • Data-driven analysis and recommendations
Good to have:
  • Sales narrative creation
  • Cross-functional communication
  • Problem-solving in ambiguous situations

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of industry experience in advertising or media sales, or 6 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • Experience managing relationships with customers or agencies and service partners at an executive level.
  • Experience in Video Products with a focus on performance.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience creating and presenting sales narratives.
  • Ability to influence and communicate cross-functionally and externally.
  • Excellent investigative and problem-solving skills even in ambiguous situations.

We're uniquely situated to help shape how companies grow their businesses in the digital age. We advise clients on Google's broad range of products across search, video and mobile to help them connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage relationships with C-level clients and partner stakeholders. Develop a comprehensive understanding of their business challenges, marketing objectives, and success metrics.
  • Structure a clear, long-term joint strategy between Google and clients, and lead a cross functional team within Google to collaborate on projects and drive client success. 
  • Plan for, and achieve, growth goals, through the presentation of Google advertising products/solutions that will help clients to meet their marketing objectives. 
  • Develop forward thinking, data-driven analyses and consultative recommendations that align with customer goals, and quantify high-impact opportunities with clear recommendations to present to customers.
  • Build knowledge of how Google Advertising products work and can be used to help meet a wide range of marketing objectives.
