Key Responsibilities - Lead the design, development, and optimization of advanced CMOS image sensors - Analyze and improve sensor performance metrics, including sensitivity, dynamic range, power consumption and noise characteristics - Define specs for the next generation XR devices with optimized CMOS sensor technologies. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate CMOS sensors into camera modules and systems - Provide technical leadership and mentorship to early-career team members - Participate in technical reviews and contribute to strategic decision-making processes
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications - Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field, with a focus on image sensors or optoelectronics - 5 or more years of experience in CMOS image sensor design and development - In-depth knowledge of semiconductor physics and CMOS fabrication processes - Expertise in analog and mixed-signal circuit design for image sensors - Strong understanding of optics and its application in camera systems - Proficiency in image processing algorithms and their implementation in hardware - Experience with camera module design and integration - Familiarity with industry standards and specifications related to image sensors and cameras Preferred Qualifications - Experience with advanced pixel architectures (e.g., BSI, stacked sensors, global shutter) - Knowledge of AI and machine learning applications in imaging - Familiarity with mobile, XR or high-end photography applications - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Excellent communication and leadership abilities - Track record of successful project management and delivery ByteDance is committed to creating an inclusive space where employees are valued for their skills, experiences, and unique perspectives. 【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $162000 - $408000 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
