Job Description

This role involves product verification and testing for an L1-L7 Traffic Generator Solution. Responsibilities include collaborating with engineering, product management, and customer solution teams to implement features and system profiles for a proprietary application. The role requires understanding various customer deployments and developing C++/CMake/batch files for automated per-install load. Debugging complex issues, addressing architectural bottlenecks, and reviewing customer deployments are also key responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have extensive C/C++ experience, familiarity with virtualization platforms, and experience with CI/CD tools.

Must have:

8+ years C/C++ (version 14+ preferred)
3+ years scripting (shells, batches, Makefiles)
CI/CD experience (Jenkins, GitLab)
Virtualization knowledge (VMware, OpenStack, Linux)
Agile delivery experience with distributed teams
Strong communication skills

Project description

Product verification & testing for L1-L7 Traffic Generator Solution for a Global Networking Testing and Validation equipment provider.

Responsibilities

Work closely with development engineering, product management, and customer solution engineering team to implement features functionality and system profiles for proprietary client application.

Understand various customer deployments and solutions across data center networks, security, routing and switching

Develop C++ / CMake / batch files to fully automate unattended per-install load for each individual project.

Collaborate with development team in view of integrating application components

Debug and troubleshoot complex issues and work closely with the engineering team on the failures and validate the fixes

Finding and alleviating architectural bottlenecks, providing solutions that truly help our customers achieving the same.

Review customer deployments and customer found issues and address any gaps in production application blue prints

Skills

Must have

Overall C/C++ background 8+ years , version 14+ preferred

Programming scripts, shells, batches, Make files (similar) 3+ years

CI/CD exposure in common tooling (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab)

Solid knowledge into virtualization platforms such as VMware (vCenter, NSX), OpenStack and Linux OS variants such as Ubuntu, CentOS, KVM

Support software engineers with experimental software releases for unit testing as necessary

Engaging in all phases of project development and design change, including concept, documentation, design reviews, prototype and test

Write code that meets standards and delivers the desired functionality using the technology selected for the project

Facilitate design reviews, define interfaces between code modules, and applies existing technology to designs

Create and maintain the build plans for components / services

Agile delivery experience with distributed teams

Experience in performance, scale and convergence performance analysis of related issues and improving the findings at system level

Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization: Product Management, Technical Marketing, Field Sales, Documentation and Development Team

Highly motivated and self-driven

Able to collaborate cross-functionally to meet challenging goals
