Electrical Design Working Student

The Electrical Design team ensures that our Gigafactory in Berlin-Brandenburg fits Tesla mission too: to produce the cars in a sustainable environment and create a cool place to be for all teams and colleagues at the Giga Berlin Factory.

Our electrical team is responsible for designing the following systems:

• Medium and low Voltage power distribution throughout the site including both underground and above ground installation.
• Lighting calculation study and design for both Normal and Emergency lighting system.
• IT network infrastructure design throughout the site including Wifi, Cameras.
• Providing executable Floor plans and schematics to construction.
• Creating Panel details and Transformer station design.

We are currently looking for an electrical Design Working Student for LV/MV Design to join our Electrical Engineering team. In this role, you will work across several production buildings (General Assembly, Body in White, Casting, Cell, etc) as well as people’s spaces (offices, canteens, lobby, etc).

You will help developing electrical systems design including creation of construction drawings, schematics, BOQs and calculations as well as as-built documentation.

• Create construction drawings using Revit and AutoCAD according to VDI 6026 LPH 5 standard
• Create schematics for Electrical Power systems using Revit.
• Create equipment schedules (BOQs) from Revit.
• Create schematics for Electrical Power systems using Revit.
• Perform calculations using Simaris (short circuit/circuit breaker coordination) and Dialux (For lighting) software.
• Work and maintain the 3D Revit model of our Gigafactory, by working closely with team members
• Solve clashes within the Revit model to ensure the design is coordinated across all disciplines.
• Site visits.
