Onward Search is seeking a Digital Account Manager for a 12-month contract (with potential extension) at a Fortune 500 pharmaceutical client in Mettawa, IL. This hybrid role (3 days on-site, 2 days remote) involves overseeing creative projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and timeline. Responsibilities include partnering with brand teams to develop creative briefs, proposing promotional strategies, managing project timelines and budgets, facilitating communication among stakeholders, creating annual forecasts, performing financial reconciliations, and leveraging digital tools for impactful pharmaceutical marketing. A strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, including medical/regulatory/legal requirements, is essential.

We’re looking to hire a Digital Account Manager for a Fortune 500 pharmaceutical client.  Teams are very collaborative and have a passion for creating cutting edge customer experiences.  
 

Our direct Fortune 500 client is looking for someone to join the Account Management team to work in a fast paced in-house agency environment to oversee creative projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project scope, budget, and timeline. This is a 12 – month contract + extension. The team is located in Mettawa IL, and the role is on-site 3 days/week and 2 days remote
 
Responsibilities: 

  • Partner with brand teams to develop comprehensive creative briefs that outline project goals, target audience, and key messaging.
  • Propose effective promotional strategies that support brand objectives and drive desired outcomes.
  • Facilitate timely communication between all stakeholders by issuing regular client contact reports.
  • Manage project timelines and budgets by fostering clear and consistent communication among team members.
  • Create and maintain accurate annual forecasts to guide strategic planning and resource allocation.
  • Use your strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, including product attributes, marketing objectives, target audience identification, competitive analysis, market trends, and medical/regulatory/legal requirements.
  • Perform monthly financial reconciliations to ensure accurate tracking of project expenses and revenue.


Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of hands-on account management experience
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry 
  • Experience in an in-house or agency setting is a plus
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong collaborative skills and the ability to think strategically and tactically
  • Managing the entire agency workflow, from project inception to completion
  • Adept at managing multiple priorities and deadlines, optimizing efficiency and productivity
  • Proficient in leveraging digital tools and platforms to drive impactful pharmaceutical marketing initiatives, including social media, digital advertising, and content marketing.

  • *To qualify for our benefits package, you must work over 30 hours per week and the length of assignment must be a minimum of 10 weeks.
