As a Cloud Program Manager at Google Cloud Professional Services, you will oversee all aspects of the Google Cloud sales process, improving it with data analysis, troubleshooting, and cross-functional teamwork. You'll lead program activities and stakeholders to deliver business, operational, or technical improvements, measuring performance metrics. Responsibilities include scoping and leading cross-functional projects, managing risks and issues, ensuring delivery quality, and advocating for programs. You'll also manage various projects and technical requirements, organizing them into clear goals and objectives. The role requires managing the project management of multi-functional Google Cloud Professional Services projects, covering program planning, delivery assurance, tracking, reporting, and risk mitigation. This involves working with engineering, sales, support, professional services, and distributed teams, leveraging quantitative assessment for decision-making and collaborating with channel partners and third-party developers.
Must have:
  • 6+ years experience with digital transformation using cloud-based solutions
  • Program management experience
  • Client service or management consulting experience
  • Lead multi-functional Google Cloud projects
  • Manage risks, issues, and actions for accounts
Good to have:
  • MBA or Master's degree in Computer Science
  • Experience with cross-functional, geographically dispersed teams
  • Understanding of cloud marketplace
  • Ability to work in ambiguous environments

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience with digital transformation using cloud-based solutions, managing initiatives across engineering, sales, support, professional services and distributed teams.
  • Experience in program management, client service, or management consulting.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • Experience working with a cross-functional, geographically dispersed team and customer base.
  • Experience leveraging quantitative assessment and analysis for decision-making/prioritization and collaborating with channel partners, systems integrator, and third-party developers to deliver high-impact solutions.
  • Understanding of cloud marketplace and the differentiators of various cloud offerings.
  • Ability to work in ambiguous environments and define a path to resolution.
  • Ability to learn, understand, and work with technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the cloud/IT technology space.

You will scope, phase, and lead cross-functional and cross-organizational issues including delivering downstream change management and the stakeholder team. You will advocate for the programs and ensure alignment of executive cross-functional and cross-organizational stakeholders. You will also engage in community contributions to improve and sustain our culture and operations.

  • Lead the project management of multi-functional Google Cloud Professional Services projects, covering program planning, delivery assurance and verification, tracking and reporting, and risk and mitigation planning.
  • Manage the risks, issues and actions for accounts and track them to meet expected outcomes and timelines, building mitigation plans as the program evolves.
  • Manage the delivery quality of the delivery teams and resources when needed.
  • Manage various projects and technical requirements and organize them into clear goals and objectives.
