Job Description

The AVN Technician conducts all servicing and maintenance tasks on aircraft, including inspection, repair, testing of systems, removal/replacement of units, and interpretation of technical publications. The role requires working in maintenance shops, ordering spare parts, conducting flight line servicing, debriefing team leads, performing workplace inspections, and potentially filling the Desk Controller position. The successful candidate will possess a Transport Canada approved Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Diploma or equivalent, an M2 or (M1/M2 combined) license, and at least 4 years of aircraft-related experience, including 3 years in 1st and 2nd line maintenance.
Must have:
  • Transport Canada approved AME Diploma or equivalent
  • M2 or (M1/M2 combined) license
  • 4+ years aircraft experience
  • 3+ years 1st & 2nd line maintenance
  • Technical publication interpretation

About This Role

                                                                                                         

The Aircraft Technician is responsible for conduction all servicing and maintenance tasks. 

In your role, you will: 

  • Inspects, maintains, repairs, and test aircraft systems. 
  • Remove and replace line replaceable units and components. 
  • Specialty work in maintenance shops as required. 
  • Interpret technical publications and diagrams. 
  • Maintain tools and equipment required to perform primary duties. 
  • Order aircraft spare parts and materials. 
  • Conduct flight line servicing operations. 
  • Debrief Team Lead as required. 
  • Carry out workplace inspections and clean ups. 
  • Fill position of Desk Controller 

Our ideal candidate has:

  • Transport Canada approved Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Diploma (or equivalence - Canadian Forces AVN Technician) 
  • Possession of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering license M2 or (M1/ M2 combined) 
  • Have proven experience as a team player. 
  • Have good oral and written communication skills in English. 
  • Be able to work shifts; some travel required. 
  • Possess a valid driver’s license. 
  • Have knowledge of aerospace design and maintenance practices.   
  • Ability to obtain a Reliability security clearance from the Government of Canada 
  • Eligibility to work in Canada, either as a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or valid Work Permit. 

Must have experience:

  • No less than 4 years of aircraft related experience 
  • Minimum 3 years 1st and 2nd line maintenance activities 
  • Experience in life cycle support activities an asset
