Web Streaming Engineer 

Brightline Interactive is seeking an experienced streaming engineer, with a heavy emphasis on the convergence of streaming technologies including WebRTC, Socket.IO, NVIDIA CloudXR, with web technologies like React and Electron, responsible for web and native streaming for a best-in-class immersive technology company. This role may require occasional travel for field activations. In addition to your core responsibilities, in order to be successful, the candidate must be an excellent problem solver, cool under pressure, and have the ability to identify, clearly communicate and solve security and software issues quickly. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Build and secure native mobile applications for CloudXR 

• Build and secure Next.JS web streaming applications 

• Build and secure Electron application to manage streaming servers 

• Build and secure socket.io-based real-time backends 

• Automate and standardize system configuration for deployed streaming VMs to optimize for security, network reliability and stability 

• Work with Cloud Engineer to automate deployment of system updates 

• Ensure all code is clear, commented where unclear, and committed daily to source control 

Things We Need You to Know: 

• WebRTC 

• Network/Streaming Analysis and Optimization 

• Swift/IOS development and deployment 

• Experience with streaming interactive content (e.g. Unreal Engine) 

• Android (Kotlin) development and deployment 

• NVIDIA CloudXR 

• System Scripting (PowerShell/Batch) 

• Git version control

• Experience working within a Kubernetes deployment environment

What Else We Would Like from You: 

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience 

• 3-5 years of experience in interactive/game video streaming and/or real-time communication 

• Creative problem solver, a collaborator, team player and an individual passionate about cutting edge technologies and content
