Job Title: Associate Director of Product, Monetization

Reporting To: Senior Director of Product

Department: Call of Duty: Mobile Product Team

Location: Santa Monica, California

Your Mission

As Associate Director of Product for Monetization, you are responsible for driving the success of our monetization and content strategy initiatives on Call of Duty: Mobile. You will work with analysts and researchers to improve our understanding of the main monetization opportunities and problems faced by players. You will ideate around new monetization features, systems, pricing, and changes to our content strategy, and will partner closely with our development partners at Tencent in China to align on our overall roadmap. You will also be responsible for evaluating the performance of new monetization initiatives using A/B tests, analysis, and research, and using those learnings to improve the game in the future. You will manage a PM and Senior Data Scientist, and will report to the Senior Director of Product, who leads the Call of Duty: Mobile product team. 

Responsibilities

  • Drive the success of monetization and content strategy initiatives 

  • Get deep understanding of player needs, motivations, and pain points related to monetization, and use this to identify future opportunities 

  • Align on overall monetization strategy and roadmap, ensuring we are prioritizing the most impactful opportunities 

  • Ensure new monetization initiatives have clear goals 

  • Evaluate the performance of new monetization initiatives using A/B tests, research, and analysis, and synthesize learnings to improve the game in the future 

Minimum Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in product management or other relevant role  

  • 2+ years experience managing others  

  • Experience using SQL, Tableau, Excel, or other analytical tools to generate insights from data  

  • Ability to clearly synthesize insights from analysis and research to diagnose root causes of problems and inform future initiatives 

  • Strong communication and influence skills, able to work well with others  

  • Strong execution skills with bias to action and track record in improving metrics 

  • Able to deeply understand monetization systems on a free to play mobile game 

  • Able to do meetings in the evening with people in China (typically no more than once or twice a week) 

Extra Points

  • Experience using research to uncover customer problems and opportunities 

  • Basic understanding of statistics, including experience A/B testing 

  • Experience working on mobile shooter games or other similar games 

  • Strong structured and critical thinking skills, able to define a strategy and build a plan to hit goals

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $124,400.00 - $230,300.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role’s range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed. While we strive to provide competitive offers to successful candidates, new hire compensation is negotiable.
