Tesla is seeking an Apprentice Vehicle Technician in Mulgrave, Victoria, Australia. This hands-on role involves working as part of a team to deliver exceptional customer service, supporting the Service Team, and completing Tesla-specific training leading to a Certificate III in Automotive Electric Vehicle Technology. Responsibilities include performing basic service work and inspections under supervision, maintaining workshop cleanliness, and developing expertise in Tesla products and service procedures. The apprenticeship starts in January 2025. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical acumen, excellent communication and time management skills, and a passion for electric vehicle technology.
Must have:
  • Year 12 completion
  • Valid driver's license
  • Fluent English
  • Technical aptitude
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and follow instructions

What You’ll Do
  • Work as a team to deliver results and achieve daily goals
  • Provide critical support to the Service Team
  • Complete Tesla Specific training and a Certificate lll in Automotive Electric Vehicle Technology
  • Develop knowledge of all Tesla products, service systems, process and procedures
  • Perform basic service work and inspections of new and inventory cars under supervision
  • Maintain cleanliness of vehicles and Service Centre Workshop
What You’ll Bring
  • Educational experience: Year 12 completion
  • Eligibility to attend foundation training through a Registered Training Organisation
  • Valid driver's license
  • Fluent English
  • Technical acumen – interest in electronics and technology
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and time management skills
  • Ability to learn on the job, work quickly, efficiently and follow instructions
  • Ability to handle shifting priorities and meet deadlines
  • Energetic and enthusiastic with a team-player attitude
  • Love to change the status quo and work in high-pressure situations.
  • Be proactive and take initiative, planning ahead to best support your team
