💰Salary: $55,000 - $57,000 depending on experience plus super

We are searching for Systems Operators to join our growing team in Australia. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of sports technology as part of a passionate and dynamic team. It's an outstanding entry-level opportunity to work in an elite performance environment for a tech-savvy individual with a passion for sports and innovative technology design and implementation. 

This is a full-time opportunity and there will be lots of weekend-based work (Thursday - Monday), with hours based around match fixtures. The role involves setting up and operating our SMART Replay system at the AFL Review Centre (ARC) in Melbourne, as well as delivering Hawk-Eye’s on-site Match Day Technology at Australian venues. You may gain exposure to various other services as you grow in the role and become a more experienced member of the team. 

A Hawk-Eye Systems Operator works across a broad range of sports, not simply in an operational capacity but also assisting with system design (front and back end) and is a vital voice in progressing Hawk-Eye’s offerings. We will equip you with the technical training, support, and full exposure to our systems to perform your day-to-day tasks, and we will also encourage development and progression to help impact what we do. 

What Does A Typical Day Look Like?🛠

• Pre-Match Day Preparation: Organising logistics for travelling between stadium locations as and when required

• Technology Setup: Set up our cutting-edge SMART Replay Technology

• System Checks: Conducting pre-match checks of the systems in accordance with standard procedures

• Match-Day Operations: Liaising with AFL officials, stadium/club personnel, match officials and host broadcasters both on-site and remotely

• Replay Requests: Responding to requests for replays and quickly delivering the best possible angles to help make crucial decisions

• Performance Monitoring: Analysing software performances, being able to troubleshoot and report encountered issues

• Post-Match Reporting: Complete detailed reports to enhance future operations and client satisfaction.

• Off-Season Maintenance: Build and maintain our hardware and equipment, and assist with the installation and testing of new products and services.

Working Hours: Due to the nature of the sports industry, there is often work on weekends and midweek evenings and we are expected to fulfil our roles until the last kick. 

High-Pressure Situations: Working in a live broadcast environment on a production that is distributed globally and widely seen by many will bring levels of pressure. 

All of these different factors offer different challenges on a daily basis as an operator. We will do everything we can to train you and support you to the best possible level.
