Job Description

As an Account Strategist, you'll be responsible for driving business growth and product adoption for Google's advertising solutions within the Mid-Market segment. You'll work closely with clients to understand their business needs and develop customized strategies to achieve their goals. This role requires strong communication, sales, and analytical skills, as well as a passion for digital marketing and Google's products. You'll be responsible for owning a portfolio of medium and large businesses, delivering against ambitious quarterly business growth and product growth targets, and driving customer growth through outstanding customer sales experience and achieving customer business and marketing objectives. You'll also be responsible for stakeholder management and building strong relationships with clients and agencies.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 2 years of advertising, consultative sales, business development, online media environment, or marketing role
  • Ability to communicate in English and German fluently
  • Deliver against ambitious quarterly business growth and product growth targets
  • Own a portfolio of medium and large size businesses
  • Pitch and consult with customers proactively
Good to have:
  • Experience strategically assessing and achieving client success via sales techniques, including effective questioning, objection handling, and competitive selling
  • Knowledge of online marketing strategy and tactics and experience managing digital advertising campaigns with a focus on performance marketing
  • Ability to own a portfolio in an advertising or media sales context in Germany, and consistently overachieve quotas to drive growth
  • Ability to build compelling narratives and utilize storytelling as a client engagement strategy

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver against ambitious quarterly business growth and product growth targets.
  • Own a portfolio of medium and large size businesses by thoroughly understanding growth drivers, identifying opportunities for growth, managing risks, and building multi-quarter plans for achievement.
  • Pitch and consult with customers proactively to support annual digital marketing discussions and budgets.
  • Drive customer growth by delivering outstanding customer sales experience and achieving customer business and marketing objectives.
  • Oversee stakeholder management, build relationships with the end customer or agencies.
