ByteDance's traffic infrastructure team builds and operates a large network of edge POPs around the world, hosting infrastructure services including widely distributed Content Distribution Networks (CDNs). We are seeking experienced product managers to build the enterprise-level infrastructure platforms to serve Bytedance products, on top of which developers can easily deploy and manage their applications. We are seeking a Technical Writer with a strong interest in breaking into the field of AI chatbot development. In this role, you’ll help design, build, and refine our DocBot, transforming our product documentation and knowledge base for seamless AI interactions. This role focuses on creating and optimizing the DocBot to support users in better utilizing our platform, streamlining repetitive queries, and ensuring accurate, timely responses. This role will be on a 6 month contract and has the flexibility to be remote. Responsibilities: - Design and develop prompts that guide AI models to generate relevant outputs. - Review and restructure the knowledge base to optimize AI retrieval and responses. - Test and refine prompts iteratively, optimizing for clarity and precision. - Collaborate with the operations developer to align prompts with technical constraints. - Continuously improve outputs based on feedback. - Document prompt structures to ensure reproducibility.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in communications, English, technical writing, or a related field. - Strong interest in AI chatbot development. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly. - Strong organizational skills and the ability to categorize and structure existing knowledge base effectively. Preferred Qualifications: - Familiarity with knowledge base management and the ability to structure content for easy retrieval by the AI system. - Experience with reviewing and restructuring content for accuracy and efficiency. - Familiarity with Coze or similar platforms. - Attention to detail in reviewing technical content. - Experience working in collaboration with technical teams to align content with technical constraints. 【For Pay Transparency】 Compensation Description (hourly)

The hourly rate range for this position in the selected city is $185- $200.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
