As a Technical Program Manager III at Google Cloud, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects related to networking. Responsibilities include collaborating with stakeholders to define program goals, prioritizing deliverables, developing and executing project plans, monitoring key metrics, and identifying corrective actions. You will work with cross-functional teams, communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals, and contribute to strategic decision-making. You'll leverage your expertise in cloud computing, networking protocols (TCP/IP), and program management to drive the success of large-scale networking systems and infrastructure. This role requires strong technical skills, leadership abilities, and a collaborative approach.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years program management experience
  • 5+ years cloud computing experience (TCP/IP, networking)
  • Cross-functional project management
  • Defining system requirements
  • Large-scale networking system delivery

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • 5 years of experience in cloud computing, including experience with transmission control protocol (TCP), internet protocol (IP), network programming, or capacity planning.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • Experience in network engineering/deployment and supporting product features, services and technologies (e.g., networking protocols, SDN principles, automation in data centers).
  • Experience in defining system and/or process requirements, building, integrating, and/or delivering large-scale networking systems and infrastructure.
  • Experience working with diverse, cross-functional teams composed of both technical and non-technical members.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers. Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes and driving the technical directions of your programs.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to understand or identify defined work problems and program goals, obtain prioritized deliverables, and discuss program impact.
  • Prioritize program goals, understand and translate other stakeholders’ needs into program goals and prioritized deliverables with minimal assistance, and contribute to decisions on prioritizing goals and deliverables.
  • Define the scope of projects and develop, execute, and/or manage project plans for supported program(s).
  • Review key metrics pertaining to a program, monitor potential metric deviations, and define corrective actions for critical deviations.
  • Identify, communicate, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders within one or more teams to drive impact and work toward mutual goals.
