We're looking for an Staff Software Development Engineer to be part of our engineering Team. Reporting to the Senior Director, Software Engineering, you'll be responsible for:
- Developing high-quality software that is performant, scalable, reusable, extensible, secure, supportable, reliable.
- Developing and maintaining a scalable web and responsive applications.
- Designing and implementing scalable, high-availability distributed systems using Kafka and Elasticsearch.
What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)
- 7+ years of hands-on software application development experience with a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Computer Science, including working experience with Java and Spring frameworks such as Spring Webflux, Spring Cloud, Spring Security, etc.
- Write microservices, develop and extend in-house APIs, write client-side code which interacts with other APIs (RESTful and SDKs).
- Minimum 5 years of experience with distributed systems like Kafka and Elasticsearch, including containerization experience with applications deployed on Docker or Kubernetes.
- Demonstrated Experience in Cloud Computing using AWS, GCP or other cloud providers.
- Experience with NoSQL databases, messaging services and in-memory cache is a big advantage.
What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Exhibit DevOps mindset - Work on continuous integration, including provisioning, deployment, testing, and version control of the software.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing scalable distributed systems
- Work with front-end engineers to understand user requirements and provide endpoints that help accomplish building appealing interfaces.
