Job Summary

Job Description

Valve is seeking a talented and experienced Sound Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of sound synthesis, recording, and digital audio concepts and techniques, and be able to create impactful sound assets that express a unique creative voice. You will be responsible for creating sophisticated sound behavior using scripting environments, and working with a world-class group of artists, writers, software engineers, and designers. The Sound Designer will contribute to the development of compelling entertainment experiences for players around the world.
Must have:
  • Industry-leading sound design experience
  • Exceptional ability to create impactful sound assets
  • Deep knowledge of sound synthesis, recording, and digital audio techniques
  • Ability to create sophisticated sound behavior using scripting environments
  • Self-directed daily operation

  • Deep knowledge of sound synthesis, recording, and digital audio concepts and techniques
  • Ability to create sophisticated sound behavior using scripting environments
  • Self-directed daily operation using player-centric priorities, informed by conversation with peers
