Job Description

Level Designers at Valve collaborate with a world-class team to create exciting new gameplay experiences. Responsibilities include participating in design sessions, building 3D game worlds, implementing gameplay and story elements using scripting, and working in cross-disciplinary teams to integrate art, animation, and story requirements. The ideal candidate prefers collaborative work environments and seeks opportunities to work on genre-defining games. Applicants should include examples of their level or environment designs in their application.
Must have:
  • Expertise in design tools
  • Experience launching products
  • Ability to iterate based on customer feedback
  • 3D world building skills
  • Scripting for gameplay and story elements
  • Collaboration skills

Level Designers help to create exciting new gameplay experiences, and we’re hoping to add your expertise in design tools, launching products, and iterating on solutions based on customer feedback.
