Job Description

Google Cloud is seeking a Software Engineer to develop next-generation technologies for its Cloud Learning Services. Responsibilities include executing software engineering tasks using Ruby, Python, and TypeScript; collaborating with engineering managers and technical leads; designing, implementing, testing, and maintaining full-stack features; and participating in on-call rotations. The ideal candidate will have experience with software development, data structures and algorithms, and programming languages like Python, Java, or Angular. Experience with user-facing products and educational technology is preferred. The role involves contributing to reliability monitoring, security, documentation, and production hygiene processes. This position impacts the direction and deliverables of the engineering team, driving the architecture, design, and implementation of distributed systems.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
2 years software development experience (or 1 year with advanced degree)
2 years experience with data structures/algorithms
Python, Java, or Angular experience

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in either an academic or industry setting.
Experience with programming in Python, Java, or Angular.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience collaborating with product teams.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $136,000-$200,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

Execute on assigned software engineering tasks with guidance, operate within a tech stack using Ruby, Python, TypeScript.
Work with software engineering managers, technical program managers, and technical leads to implement features.
Execute and deliver on tasks towards a larger goal, design, implement, test, debug, deploy, and maintain full-stack features.
Participate in a software engineer on-call rotation.
Contribute to reliability monitoring, security, documentation, and production hygiene processes.
