Social Media and Community Manager Intern

We are in search of an enthusiastic, imaginative and community-driven Social Media and Community Manager Intern to become a part of our team.

We are seeking someone with initiative and drive, who loves crafting content, with an affinity for the world of game development and creation.

This candidate will play a key part in creating and executing strategies aimed at connecting with 3D creation enthusiasts on platforms such as TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Instagram Reels. Moreover, they will extend support through Discord and Twitter as required.

We also want you to connect directly with existing communities on Roblox, Minecraft and/or Fortnite Creator, so if you are already versed in these communities thats a huge plus!

Key Responsibilities include:

• Formulate and implement strategies for social media, generating unique, on-brand content daily to attract and engage creators on TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Instagram Reels.
  
• Provide assistance on Discord, Twitter, and LinkedIn, as necessary.
  
• Spark conversations about Sloyd and 3D creation on online communities related to game development or 3D content creation
  
• Stay attuned to emerging social trends and the prevailing gaming culture, effectively translating this into compelling social posts that spur interaction.
  
• Understand the tone of the brand, ensuring its coherence across varied channels.
  
• Plan and create captivating content across our social media platforms.
  
• Interact with our audience through comments and direct messages, augmenting brand recognition and user participation. This entails prompt and professional responses to conversations and support inquiries on Discord.
  
• Convey feedback from the community and online reviews to relevant internal stakeholders.
  
• Analyze social media metrics, evaluating the efficiency of our content and pinpointing actions for improvement.

You should have:

• Ability to work individually, get excited about ideas and execute with high speed.
• A way of working that is easy to work with and open to feedback
• Demonstrated skill in crafting and editing short-form content—this might be on your personal social channels or derived from previous roles or internships.
• A solid grasp of TikTok/YouTube/Instagram and prior involvement in producing content for these platforms.
• Must have a strong understanding of the social media space, the social communities, conversations, and trends in gaming and among gaming content creators–you’re up-to-date on the latest meme
• A readiness to appear on camera when needed.
• Proficiency in creating and managing content and community plans.
• Scrappy mindset and a healthy dose of hustle.
• Highly creative with an eye for design and strong attention to detail.
• Fluency in English.

Technical skills:

• Familiarity with Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Canva, Figma, and/or CapCut.
• An appetite to play with creativity beyond traditional design tools; using in-app editors on TikTok, Instagram Reels & CapCut.
• You are preferably already a passionate creator in Roblox, Minecraft or UEFN, and/or engaged in those communities.

Its a plus if you have:

• Experience with 3D creation, like Blender, Maya, SketchUp, Spline, or similar
• Exposure to game development, like Roblox, Unity, Godot, Unreal or similar
• Experience administering video-centric brand accounts across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, with a keen awareness of new social trends
