As a Senior UX Program Manager at Google Cloud, you'll leverage your expertise in project management and user experience to improve the design of products used by billions. Responsibilities include planning projects, defining milestones, assessing risks, creating actionable insights, ensuring project deadlines are met, and harmonizing the work of various UX disciplines (Designers, Researchers, Content Strategists, etc.). You'll collaborate extensively with Engineering and Product Management teams to drive UX team objectives and create innovative user experiences. The role requires strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on operational excellence and delivering strategic counsel. You will also contribute to defining, integrating, and reporting key UX metrics that drive a user-centered development culture.
Must have:
  • 6+ years program management experience in design/UX
  • 6+ years UX project experience

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of program management experience within design or UX organizations.
  • 6 years of experience with UX related projects and UX design, user research, or user centered development tools and methodologies.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with project management software, spreadsheets, and documents.
  • Experience with design, user research, and innovation processes and working with design, research, and engineering professionals.
  • Ability to multitask, analyze opportunities, define successful approaches, and proactively solve problems
  • Ability to thrive in an environment of ambiguity and create order.
  • Ability to communicate complex interaction concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and investigative skills.

As a UX Program Manager (UX Programs & Operations), you will combine expert project management skills with a passion for user experience to help your team improve the design of products that are used by billions of users. You’ll plan projects, define milestones, assess risks, create actionable insights, and ensure projects meet deadlines. You’ll harmonize the work of UX Designers, Researchers, Content Strategists, UX Engineers, and other UX disciplines, while also working closely with our Engineering and Product Manager cross-functional partners, to drive UX team objectives and create innovative experiences for our business, products, and users.

In this role, you will collaborate with User Experience (UX) and cross-functional teams to operationalize and deliver design excellence across the organization.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and operational excellence across UX teams to deliver the highest level of trust-building and strategic counsel through all project interactions, while building strong collaborative relationships with appropriate stakeholders across program work.
  • Develop business cases and engagement with partners on continuous improvements and optimizations. Develop measurable, scalable, and repeatable processes/tools that drive seamless cross-functional collaborations/handoffs.
  • Run and implement investigative efforts for broader or cross-functional projects, programs, and strategies.
  • Contribute to the definition, integration and reporting of key UX metrics that drive a culture of user-centered development based on program needs and stakeholder input.
  • Manage large, complex programs while maintaining an efficient organization.
