Your Team, Your Impact
As a Hardware Design Senior Staff Engineer with Marvell, you’ll be a member of the Central Engineering business group. If you picture Marvell as a wheel, Central Engineering is the center hub providing IP to be used by all the other spokes on that wheel, including Automotive, Storage, Security, and Networking. You’ll be part of the printed circuit board (PCB) engineering team designing boards for many different groups at Marvell. Additionally, Marvell is designing more complex chips and boards than our competitors, for higher speeds than anyone else. Participate in PCB library Part Creation & reviews, quality control, and documentation maintenance. (Design Checklists, Lessons Learnt).
Collaborate effectively with hardware and layout engineers to meet technical requirements.
Actively participate in the entire part creation workflow, delivering outputs within SLA timelines to meet project deadlines.
Support PCB Layout designs as per business needs.
Handle PCB Fabrication package (Gerber) creation and resolving PCB vendor EQs.
What We're Looking For
BE/BTech with 5-8 years of experience, Or ME/MTech with 3-5 years of experience.
Working experience in creating and maintaining schematic symbols, PCB footprints, and assigning 3D models using Cadence OrCAD Tool.
Capable of interpreting manufacturer datasheets, capturing essential electrical parameters in Library Database.
Experienced in designing and verifying complex, high-density SMD and through-hole components.
Ensures accurate integration by importing parts into schematic and PCB layout files for H/W Designers.
Good knowledge of PCB manufacturing and board assembly process (DFM/DFA Guidelines).
Adheres to IPC-7352 and other relevant IPC standards for component library creation.
Experience in Library Workflow of part creation.
Expertise in Tools like Cadence OrCAD and Allegro.
Experience in PCB layout for high-speed board designs with multilayer boards.
Experience in PCB Layout for interfaces such as PCIe, Ethernet, USB, SATA, SPI, I2C.
Familiar with defining PCB Layer stack-up, resolving PCB vendor EQs.
Must have effective interpersonal and teamwork skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical & problem-solving skills with experience, leading to root cause and corrective action.
Inherent sense of urgency and accountability. Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Semiconductor Industry background is an added advantage.
