OVERVIEW

The ICON Studios team is seeking a Producer for our Portland based photo studio. The successful candidate is creative, a master of execution and process with exceptional people skills. You will oversee and manage production of photography and video shoots to ensure initiatives are on time, on budget and on strategy.

The successful candidate will be a thought leader who drives continuous improvement throughout our operation anticipating and meeting needs before they happen. This person must have exceptionally high standards and demonstrate the attributes of a supportive team player. Strong communication and ability to multi-task a variety of projects with attention to detail is of utmost importance to ensure production runs seamlessly.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR?
  • Deep understanding of content creation, photo and video production and experience building process in a high-volume E-comm and editorial studio.
  • Rigorous work ethic, with an instinctual tendency towards order and detail, and the proven ability to handle intensive schedule coordination.
  • Strong track record managing deadlines, budget, and on-time execution.
  • Embrace the use of various technology platforms such as Atellio, Airtable, Box, Tableau, and Slack, etc.
  • Strong ability to forecast plan based on incoming volumes of merchandise for a full season.
  • Ability to understand in depth style guides and creative initiatives to help inform production and merch planning on set
  • Expand creative talent database through research and recommendation of new talent (photographers, art directors, stylists, hair, make up, wranglers, set teachers, DPs and the like).
  • Ability to lead internal teams as well as on set crews, looking after multiple unrelated workstreams simultaneously.
  • Partner closely with finance and payroll partner to refine billing and invoicing procedures.
  • Ensures teams are appropriately resourced to deliver against business and operational objectives.
  • Flexible work style with the ability to pivot and reprioritize as needed, in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to see opportunities in a process and take initiative to fill gaps to ensure the overall success of the team or project.
  • Approachable and positive in nature with a natural sense of humility, respect, and openness.
  • High level of emotional and social awareness, and an instinct to identify and escalate problems before they arise.
  • Participate and provide studio updates in daily staff status meetings.
  • Ensure that the studio exceeds industry standards and expectations.
  • Ensure ICON Studios is Nike's preferred imaging solution provider by developing programs/policies that make it easy and convenient for our clients.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH?

You will be the main point of contact for all freelancers for our e-commerce productions. Daily you will interface with countless creative professionals, all sourced by our Creative Production team from around the globe. You will also be the voice and face of these productions with all our internal teams, working closely with Creative, Merchandise Operations, Production Assistants, and Equipment team to make sure our studio is running as smoothly and efficiently as possible.

WHAT YOU BRING TO NIKE
  • Extensive knowledge of photo and video e-commerce production - minimum of 5 years.
  • Strong understanding of studio management.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Strong understanding of photography, video and social media platforms and technological specifications within each.
  • Experience managing multiple projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Able to build working relationships with core and cross-functional teams.
  • Thrive in a self-started, faced-paced and changing environment with flexibility to adapt to last-minute additions and changes in direction.
  • Demonstrable ability to make effective decisions in challenging situations and/or under pressure.
  • Demonstrate ability to work well in a team environment and develop collaborative relationships with colleagues across the company; willingness to work with colleagues at all levels.
  • Proven ability to manage heavy workloads, prioritize work appropriately, and meet assigned deadlines; excellent organizational and analytical skills (including attention to detail).
  • Self-motivated, results oriented and well organized.
  • Demonstrable problem solver who can devise creative solutions to new client offerings and existing business needs.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of employees.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Available to work overtime and weekends to meet client expectations when needed.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Previous experience managing a high-volume commercial studio.
  • Strong budget creation and management skills.
  • Outstanding client management skills.
  • Experience working with creative and operational teams.
