- Design and develop game mechanics, systems, and features that are fun, engaging, and accessible to a broad audience.
- Collaborate with the Product Owner, art, programming, and QA teams to ensure that game designs are executed with high quality.
- Analyze player data and feedback to make informed decisions about game design and improve player engagement.
- Plan and execute play tests, gather feedback, and make improvements to the game design.
- Contribute to the development of the overall game vision and design goals.
- Stay current with industry trends and developments to incorporate these into game designs.
- propose pro-active ideas to Japanese developers to work with Virtuos on Design
- participate to client visits to help build up relationships with the Design departments of our clients
- Facilitate communication between our Design teams in Asia and our clients in Japan
- Mentor and train junior designers, helping to develop their skills and grow the team.

- 若手デザイナーの指導・育成を行い、スキルの向上とチームの成長に貢献する
- At least 4+ years of experience in game design, with a focus on Console games.
- Strong knowledge of game mechanics, systems, and design principles.
- Good knowledge of the console gaming market, understanding of current gaming trends.
- Ability to design and implement game systems.
- Experience of working with the balance on a console project.
- The ability to clearly communicate one's thoughts to all team members, to accept feedback.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate effectively with other departments.
- Passion for games and a commitment to delivering high quality game experiences to players.
- Portfolio with works and mandatory presence of released projects.
- Professional Japanese skills required, English a big plus (will to learn appreciated, in-house training available).
- Proven experience with Japanese publishers and/or developers.

Virtuos Tokyo was launched in 2023, 14 years after we first set foot in Japan, to strengthen our partnerships with Japanese game companies. Our key clients include Square Enix, whom we’ve worked with on titles such as Final Fantasy X/X-2, Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age and, NieR:Automata The End of YoRHa Edition. We are excited to bring creative and technical game services, as well as global perspectives on game creation to our Japanese partners, and help take their games and businesses worldwide.
