Senior AML Analyst

The Senior AML Analyst at Entain Australia will report to the AML CTF Team Lead. This team is responsible for monitoring client behaviour, transactions and accounts as well as reviewing ACIP and KYC refresh, remediation projects and sanctions. The role involves acting as a subject matter expert for and mentoring the Line 1 AML/CTF team (KYC and TMP) in it's role of identifying, assessing and taking appropriate action with accounts that may exhibit unusual behaviour.

To be successful in this role, you will have experience at a Senior level where you have previously supported a line 1 team with coaching, appropriate management of risk and effective time management.

Your day-to-day...

• Acting as the teams line 1 SME in relation to AML/CTF and Sanctions guidance.
• Assist with providing metrics for reporting and undertaking control testing.
• Supporting the implementation of any guidance from 2nd LoD including reviewing and updating any processes/procedures associated with 1st LoD operations.
• Analysing customer transactions, accounts and behaviors for signs of potential Money-Laundering/Terrorist Financing behaviour.
• Assessing customer risk ratings based on fixed criteria.
• Performing enhanced due diligence checks by compiling source of funds/source of wealth information from various sources such as internet searches, speaking with stakeholders including BDMs and affiliates, and speaking with customers.
• Undertaking ongoing customer due diligence checks and transaction monitoring.
• Reviewing of UAR’s within the AUSTRAC portal.
• Lodging Suspicious Matter Reports and other reports with AUSTRAC as required.
• Reviewing of Sanctions alerts.
• Remediation of AML data.
• Assessment of customer accounts.
• Monitoring of team WIP.

What you’ll bring...

• You must have solid previous experience in a similar role.
• Ability to quickly obtain knowledge and to act as SME for AML/CTF & Sanctions in the Line 1 team.
• Understanding or prior experience with KYC, sanctions and transaction monitoring.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to be analytical.
• Motivated, innovative, and a good work ethic.
• Ability to manage and deal with sensitive information in a highly confidential manner. Ability to document investigation results and provide sound rationale and recommendations for review.
• Capacity to build rapport with customers and stakeholders and team.
