The leader in this position will be part of a world-class team responsible for the security of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. You will lead and direct a diverse team of Security hourly Cast Members in multiple operational and specialized responsibilities. You will need to think on your feet, adapt quickly to changing situations, and implement an operational plan in very short time frames. Building partnerships with operational, investigative, law enforcement, and senior leadership partners is important.

This position is based in Anaheim, CA

You will:

  • Communicate and implement Security's mission, vision, and strategies, ensuring alignment with team responsibilities.

  • Provide active, onstage leadership, deploying resources flexibly based on operational priorities and emergencies.

  • Engage with Security Cast to set expectations, offer support, and maintain a focus on service and protection.

  • Foster a positive, collaborative workplace by promoting trust, addressing issues quickly, and supporting Cast relations.

  • Make high-quality decisions on security issues, accurately judging urgency, response, and need for escalation.

  • Monitor team and individual performance through metrics, ensuring procedures and training are followed.

  • Build strong relationships with peers, partners, and law enforcement, emphasizing teamwork and information sharing.

  • Mentor team members through coaching, feedback, and developmental opportunities.

  • Model and promote a culture of safety, staying alert to operational needs and trends.

  • Support the Security Leadership Team with the implementation of Security and Emergency Services strategies.

You Will Have:

  • 2+ years of experience leading the operations, services, and activities of a Public Safety, Law Enforcement, Military, Security, or similar team.

  • Project Management skills - ability to develop project plans.

  • The ability to identify and resolve issues.

  • Experience training others and engaging our Cast.

  • Experience using computers and navigating different tools within a Windows environment.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Good decision-making skills and the ability to remain calm and focused during stressful situations and emergencies.

  • Knowledge of security technical practices including access control, emergency preparedness, crisis management, canine programs, security technologies, surveillance and/or behavioral assessment.

  • Experience with scheduling practices and collective bargaining agreement environment.

  • Knowledge of Disneyland Resort property and resources.

Required Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Education

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Criminal Justice or similar security-related field.

The hiring range for this position in Anaheim, CA is $71,000.00 to $95,100.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
