Job Description

This is a fixed-term contract position for a Sales Lead at Google Customer Solutions (GCS). The role involves leading and coaching a high-performing sales team focused on small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). Responsibilities include managing team priorities, developing client strategies, achieving growth goals, presenting Google advertising solutions, and building relationships with C-level clients. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in consultative sales, managing executive-level relationships, and leading teams. A deep understanding of online marketing and Google's advertising products is crucial. The team works to drive client success by leveraging Google's digital advertising solutions to meet SMB marketing objectives.
Must have:
  • 8 years advertising/sales experience or 6 years with advanced degree
  • Experience managing executive-level relationships
  • Consultative sales experience
  • Team leadership and management skills
  • Knowledge of online marketing strategies
Good to have:
  • Experience in a complex, matrixed organization
  • Experience working with agencies and service partners
  • C-level engagement and objection handling skills

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of industry experience in advertising, consultative sales, business development, or IT, or 6 years of experience with an advanced degree.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 6 years of experience managing relationships with customers or agencies and service partners at an executive level.
  • 4 years of experience working in a consultative sales position.
  • 2 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Experience in a leadership role managing high performing teams, identify, attract and develop diverse, talented people, and create a positive, inclusive team culture.
  • Knowledge of traditional and online marketing strategy and tactics.
  • Ability to model and coach business behaviors including C-level engagement, effective questioning, objection handling and competitive selling.

In this role, you will lead and coach a high-performing sales team that uses strong business skills to understand our advertisers' needs and deliver measurable solutions that grow their businesses. You will lead relationships and business engagement with high potential small businesses from all verticals and business models in the market. Be it a startup or a more mature business, wherever they stand in their journey, the team sets them up for long term sustained success by bringing the best of digital Ad solutions from Google.

This is a fixed term contract position.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of Account Executives, set and communicate team priorities and make decisions and support activities that align with Google’s values. 
  • Structure a clear, long-term joint strategy between Google and clients, and lead a cross functional team within Google to collaborate on projects and drive client success. 
  • Plan for, and achieve, growth goals, through the presentation of Google advertising products/solutions that will help clients to meet their marketing objectives.
  • Build an in-depth knowledge of how Google advertising products work and can be used to help meet a wide range of marketing objectives. 
  • Build and manage relationships with C-level clients and executive partner stakeholders. Develop a comprehensive understanding of their business challenges, marketing objectives, and success metrics.
