Manager, Hedge Fund Tax

What You Will Get To Do:

• Manage the tax compliance process and coordinate with our outside Tax Preparers regarding the completion and filings of accurate and timely Federal and State tax returns
• Generate and create reports; perform reconciliations and troubleshoot discrepancies; and supply required data, workpapers or forms to outside Tax Preparers
• Manage and coordinate with Service provider for accurate reporting of FACTA and CRS and submit appropriate filings timely and accurately
• Prepare monthly tax provisions for financial statements of management company
• Prepare and supply necessary provision information for half year and full year audit financial statement support
• Assist with State audits as necessary
• Manage, coach and motivate other members of the Tax group
• Review Tax Associates work for accuracy
• Assist, respond to and supply information to internal departments such as Investor Relations, Operations, Law Department, Investment team, etc. 
• Assist in any research regarding Federal, State, and International tax issues
• Participate in technology automation, procedure development, and other special projects
• Participate in ad hoc special projects and help develop process improvements related to increasing efficiency of the group

​What You Will Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Tax, Accounting or related field
• CPA preferred
• 5+ year experience with investments preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to set, organize and meet priorities
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong MS Excel knowledge

Jersey City, NJ: Salary range for the position: 85000 USD to 155000 USD. NY: Salary range for the position: 85000 USD to 155000 USD. California: Salary range for the position: 100000 USD to 150000 USD. Colorado: Salary range for the position: 100000 USD to 130000 USD. Maryland: Salary range for the position: 70000 USD to 160000 USD.
