Lighthouse Studios seeks an experienced Layout Supervisor for their Rick and Morty and a top-secret (16+) series.  The role involves leading a team of layout artists, ensuring on-time delivery of high-quality layouts, communicating the director's vision, and collaborating with production teams. Responsibilities include location design, development, and delivery; supervising the team to meet creative objectives; suggesting solutions for improving workflow; and delivering well-organized files.  The role requires strong leadership skills, proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and ShotGrid, and experience in a similar capacity. The contract is a fixed term from mid-late April 2025 to mid-September/October 2025. The content may include strong language, references to mature themes, therefore applicant discretion is advised.

We are now on the hunt for experienced Layout Supervisors to work on exciting new shows happening: Rick and Morty + a Top Secret Series (also 16+). We are looking for people who will join us in our quest to create the best possible animated content for our partners. The supervisors will be required from Mid-late April 2025 until Mid-September / October 2025.&nbsp;
 
The roles relate to shows that have been classified 16+ and while the subject matter of the shows are presented in a fantasy or comic context, the production may contain contextually justified strong language, references to sex, drugs, horror, threat, and/or violence of a non-gratuitous nature, which some applicants may find objectionable.&nbsp; Lighthouse will always seek to reasonably accommodate those applicants with conscientious or other objections, however given the nature of both the role and subject matter, this may not always be possible. About the role
The Layout Supervisor will lead a team of Layout artist to deliver layout to the background department

What you'll be doing
 
<ul>
<li> Responsible for location design, development, and delivery of layouts for the entire background team</li>
<li> Communicate clearly the Director’s vision to the Layout team. This includes communicating the necessary retakes </li>
<li> Supervise the team to ensure the project delivers on the creative objective</li>
<li> Suggest and implement solutions to the team to assist them with their quota</li>
<li> Work closely with the Line Producer, Director, and Production Manager to ensure the project is delivered on time</li>
<li> Deliver technically clearly named and well layered files to the scene prep and background departments following established protocols</li>
<li> Attend departmental kick-off meetings, reviews and director approvals as needed </li>
</ul>
 
The above is not exhaustive and from time to time you may be asked to carry out other tasks.
